We work to ensure that our buildings integrate into their respective communities and become a part of the neighborhood. We make conscious steps to be a good neighbor because we care about the community in which we build and do the following to achieve this:

Our integrative process starts in consultation and exploration with local property owners, residents and neighborhood groups. By partnering with the neighborhood, Zocalo’s projects reflect the fabric of the existing community and help the neighborhood realize the built environment to which it aspires; We purchase as many locally-produced components for our buildings as we are able to assist and strengthen the local economy while simultaneously reducing environmental and transportation costs; Zocalo helped formulate and is participating in Denver Mayor Hickenlooper’s Women and Minority Developer Mentor Program because we believe in creating opportunities for women and minorities who have historically been under-represented in the real estate development industry.
