Healthy and Comfortable Interiors -
“Green” buildings are generally healthier places to work and live. Our rigorous attention to the choice of materials and construction method of our buildings improves the quality of the indoor environment and makes for more comfortable living. Some of the materials and components that help to create healthier, more comfortable interiors include:
Low VOC-containing paints and adhesives result in improved indoor air quality and have a smaller impact on global warming;
Wool Carpets come from a natural, renewable source and don’t “off-gas” toxins the way most synthetic carpets do;
Highly-efficient blown-in insulation that contributes to a 30-percent reduction in the amount of energy used. Blown-in, recycled newspaper insulation creates a far greater thermal barrier than typical fiberglass insulation bats. Further, the blown-in insulation contains no formaldehyde.
