Zocalo installs 90-percent efficient water heaters, as standard, rather than typical 68-percent efficient models. This choice saves our residents on their gas bills and substantially reduces carbon emissions; Low-e windows use a low-emittance, gas-filled, double-glazed window system that reflects out a portion of the sun’s non-visible light and limits the amount of radiated heat flow that enters, naturally cooling the home.

Water Saving Technologies -
Water-efficient fixtures such as a 1.6 gallon per minute (GPM) showerhead and a .5 GPM sink faucet along with dual-flush toilets help our projects save up to 40% in water use.
